Mythic Scribes is a community of fantasy writers and fans.
When inspiration strikes, the act of writing can be an exciting thrill ride. Unfortunately, such moments are rare. It is more common for the writing process to feel tedious and lonely. You may have a fresh idea for a story, but the actual task of putting it in writing can appear daunting.
To combat such malaise, the best medicine is inspiration and support from other writers. That’s the purpose of Mythic Scribes. We are a community of fantasy writers who are passionate about storytelling. By sharing both the joys and the struggles of fantasy writing, we offer inspiration and support to one another.
How to Get Involved
There are several ways to be an active member of our community:
- Participate in our Forums – The fantasy writing forums are the heart of the Mythic Scribes community. They are the place to connect with other fantasy writers, and to discuss all things related to fantasy fiction.
- Write for our Home Page – Each week we feature original articles on the art and craft of fantasy writing. If you have an idea for an article, we would love to hear from you. Please see our submission guidelines.
- Share your stories – You are invited to post original stories or novel excerpts in our private Showcase Forum, where they will be read by other members of our community. If you wish, you can also request feedback or a critique.
- Comment on our articles – Each article featured on our home page includes a comments section, where you are invited to share your thoughts and reactions.
