    RIP Professor MAR Barker

    Sad to see that MAR Barker, creator of the world of Tekumel, has just died. I haven't been involved in roleplaying for years, and I never got round to playing 'Empire of the Petal Throne' much, but it's surely one of the most detailed and exotic fantasy worlds ever created. Is anyone here a fan?

    I read The Man of Gold a few months ago and recently bought a copy of Flamesong. I just discovered him and his work last fall and thought "what rock have I been hiding under?"

    Oh my, it's June and I'm just hearing about it? EPT was the gaming equivalent of Lord of the Rings, a masterpiece.
