I just felt compelled to join this website. The title is just so intriguing. My first children's book is fantasy, published about nine months ago by Pegasus in Cambridge, England and today I was just so thrilled when the publisher suggested that I should be listed under Kindle on Amazon globally and saw the first three sample chapters of my book.
So I thought that you would like to see one of the reviews by "jzzhsh - This review (Amazon) is from: Mistral's Race into Time (Paperback)"
A black Labrador, fed up with his job at Heathrow Airport, has wangled an early retirement and gone to live with a young scientist on his country estate: I was hooked! There follow all kinds of bizarre happenings, with space adventure and time travel, extraordinary characters and delightful surprises. Though the book is ideally suited to pre- to early teens, I would recommend it to readers of all ages. As a mother of teens I found it like a breath of fresh air among other novels for that age group. I also found it surprisingly therapeutic and of a somewhat original genre: not only was I whisked back and forth through space and time on a whacky adventure but also the characters are endearingly human and have interesting relationships whether they're a dog, space unicorns, black hole, books or just people; this aspect brings humour with it too. It was an absolute delight, and I look forward to a sequel. "
I still don't know how I wrote this book. I don't know if I could in fact write another. I will just have to see... Lynne
