Oooh... so, if we don't want to be spoiled (because of time differences, and such) then we'll have to unfollow the twitter account?

Live tweeting - as I've seen it done, is basically tweeting what happens or reactions, as it happens. Saying how fantastic it is, cheering when someone comes on screen, pointing out ___ is blonde instead of brunette, or something.

It could be different with this, but that's how I've seen it done. It depends on what the topic is

Cool idea. Just out of curiosity, do you think live tweeting will hamper your enjoyment of the show?

    Hey Katharine,

I won't be able to watch the series until it comes out on blu-ray, so I'm just going to ignore every tweet from our site during the hour or so in which the show airs. Unfollowing isn't necessary, although this does require some self-control on my part.

    Hey Kate,

Nathan handles our Twitter account, and he really enjoys this kind of thing. It's kind of like watching a show with a bunch of friends in your living room, or so I've been told.

That's cool. I suspect it's happening right this minute, so I'm avoiding Twitter for fear of spoilers. Very much looking forward to watching this when I get my hands on a copy (by whatever means - anyone know an emoticon for a shifty look?)

So I assume everyone watched last night? Was it good? Unfortunately I don't have HBO.

It was very good. Black Dragon is correct. You don't have to unfollow. You just have to not look for the hour. If you follow a lot of fantasy lovers then we won't be the only ones tweeting potential spoilers.

I used to live-tweet almost every week during Lost, and sometimes still do during Fringe (on the few occasions where I watch it live). To me it's extremely fun to watch the crowd's reactions in real time. It's like tapping into the universal unconscious. :-)

Unfortunately, one of the differences between Lost and Game of Thrones is that the former had commercials where I could play catchup without missing anything. However, that's what DVR is for. If I miss something I can always go back.

Don't want to sound too negative but might it not be possible to do this over a special twitter account?
I tend to check on twitter regulary and don't really like to have to wade through lot's and lot's of tweets about a series I can't even watch here and wouldn't even if I could because I haven't read the book (yet).
Will there be anything relevant for fantasy in general on twitter in future? If not, I'll consider unfollowing as well.

Okay, this probably was too negative, but anyway. Just my opinion.
