Conventions and Conferences

Hello everyone,

I was looking for some resources on writing conventions and conferences or anything that is tangential (fantasy & sci-fi movies, video games and comics for instance), but have not been able to find anything so far.

I looked in Writing Resources to see if anyone here had a thread going, but could not locate one (apologies if it exists).

So does anyone know of any writing conventions/conferences (or those dealing with tangential subjects) coming up in any area? I would very much like to start attending these and I think it would be valuable for people to talk about conventions coming up or those that they have attended and their experiences with them (especially if they are recurring ones).
