So I was playing around with google trends and found this. I thought it was worth sharing. It's google search volume of J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, and George R.R. Martin. I had also put Robert Jordan, Rick Riordan, and Cornelia Funke on it, but none of those author's were much more than a baseline on the bottom (Robert Jordan's death nearly got him to the top spot)
