Introductions forum

I believe this forum would be a great addition to the community - allow people to introduce themself to the community, and get to know each other better.

I agree too, This is the first place i look for when signing up to a new forum. So i can read what the forum members are like and explain a little about myself.

That's an excellent idea, guys. I was a little hesitant to include one when the forum first opened, as I didn't want to overwhelm visitors with too many forums right off the bat. But I understand what you are saying about helping to build a sense of community. Ultimately, that's what this whole endeavor is all about.

I can see why you would be hesitant, but having people post things about themselves gives a sense of ownership, and ownership is what makes community. Would that be fair to say? Truthfully, I like reading posts in those section as most people like being fancy and humorous and putting their best foot forward, so it's usually entertaining... OH, here's an idea! You could encourage people to link back to another forum discussion as their favorite or something they're talking about, get the circle going a bit, eh?
