Personality: Quiet but not afraid of speaking her mind. Can come off as srubborn and cold, and owes her life to a very developed will to survive.
Strengths: Her survival instinct. While not yet particularly cunning or skilled in combat, she survived being kidnapped by pirates at the age of ten, murdering the captain and building a dark reputation by twelve. Violence does seem to come naturally for her, which could be either a strength or a weakness.

History: Born in a an isolated, if not xenophobic, arctic village, Jaesi always wanted to see the world. The urge wasn't as strong as it was for her older brother Sukokuek, woman only underwent half the many painful rites of passage, but she never quite felt satisfied with her daily life. For Suko, escape was a reality he intended to make true; Jae believed it only a silly childhood dream that would break her parents' hearts.
When she was ten and Suko was fourteen, they and their parents went to visit family further south in the pine woods. Pirates picked that day to raid the harbor. Their father's throat was slit for all to see, Jae was taken by pirates, their mother's heart temporarily stopped beating, and Suko killed several of pirates trying to rescue his sister. He couldn't reach the ship in time.
The pirates beat her, stripped her, and threw her in a cell. Though all other loot went to the emperor who hired them, booty of the fleshy kind was kept by the pirates to sell into servitude. Jae thought perhaps she'd improve her chances by offering herself willingly. Her living situation progressed from prisoner to pet as her services were rewarded by food and less bruises.
By the third month, she was allowed to go about the ship unchained. Half the crew found their throats slit a week later, including the captain, and the other half were at her mercy. Rather than retaliate, the first mate decided she'd make a better pirate than prostitute. The remainder of his life was short as well.
