Located on the slopes of the Jerall Mountains in The Rift, south of the Treva River and west of Riften, Avanchnzel (Eternal City in the Dwemer tongue) was built to hold the memories of the Dwemer race, and is much a library as it is a museum dedicated to their legacy.
