    The Primordial Planes

Patrick-Leigh, as always I am blown away by your worldbuilding. I would very much like to know more about these 'Primordial Planes'. I think that if your goal is versatility, you have all the tools you need, although I'm unsure how you plan to narrow it down more for each individual plane. How...

Questions about fantasy weapons and weapon design

I'm not going to lie to you, when you were talking about how air magic could affect weapon design, my first thought was a sword hilt with weaponized wind coming out of it. Depending on how serious you want your world to be, you could think about that! Or just ignore my silly mumblings.

The author of the Broken Earth Trilogy is amazing, she has such a unique way of crafting narrative via an...

    Seasons on a flat planet

Ah, when I say "flat", what I mean is it is not a globe- it is possible to sail off the edge, but there are still mountains and caves. As for size, it is larger than Earth by a bit, but no exact measurements yet. It is a large rectangle, seperated into more rectangles. If you were to look over...

    Seasons on a flat planet

I have made my decision: The way seasons exist on Arth depends on the geographical position- the Nordic lands are in eternal winter, due to the seasonal fields surrounding it- each geographical rectangle (for each rectangle of the map) has a little elf that controls the seasons - so in many...

    Seasons on a flat planet

Hi everyone, I am in the process of writing a story in, and world building the world of, a planet that just so happens to be flat. There are several magical places and abilities that are named after seasons, and as such my question is, should I include changing seasons, or should I simply have...
