Spiders and/or insects with human intelligence could definitely be nightmare fuel. On the other hand, that's been done a million times already... Maybe a caterpillar would work? Or is that getting too much into "Purple Worm" territory?
Since my mind is constantly overflowing with fantastical ideas of worlds much cooler than our own, I figured I'd try my hand at writing some of those ideas down. Once I got started it became increasingly difficult to stop.
