    Is Originality Even Possible?

More often then not, cultures in fantasy are derived from the cultures of our own world. People like fantasy worlds but they also like certain things to be somewhat relatable. Like cultures. How good you are at making it your own and appealing at that, not for me to say. Also, if you have a...

    Facial Haired Protaganists

Nice of you to care... Oh he's just an old, cynical paladin. He has a beard. Short and neat. Black and gray.

Tips on incorporating a romantic subplot in epic fantasy?

It sounds like you already have it worked out, mostly. The thing you are doing wrong now is overthinking it. Don't overthink it. If you know your characters well, which you should, then just let it be.

How do you avoid having the reader assuming your character is a conventionally white person?

Prologues essential? or just a band-aid.

I would like some opinions on prologues please. Who uses them? Do they make a story better or worse? For those who don't use them, what are some techniques on how to incorporate the grand schemes and history throughout your stories without them?

    Character Overload

It wouldn't be necessarily important to name them all. If need them there you can try mentioning their presence or importance but incorporate their names throughout the book in a more audience -friendly manner. You may have it straightened out in your head but remember that the reader doesn't...

    Outlining Methods for Dummies

Firstly be prepared that, more times than not, your story will take rabbit trails and detours you weren't prepared for, changing the course of said outline. It's easiest to write a short synopsis on what transpires in each chapter. If you're really creative you might not stick to it but at...
