I have confidants that I share everything with, but beyond that I share little of my writing, even with those closest to me! I prefer to pique their curiosity so they will want to read the book themselves.

Every now and then I'll write a scene and in the moment think 'Hey, that wasn't too bad' but later come back to it and realize how terrible it was and immediately go back and rewrite. It's awesome to know that that's not entirely strange.

I would say that if the word sounds okay to you after you've seriously thought about it AND considered it from different perspectives, then it should be okay, but in the particular case of glew versus glowed, glew just doesn't sound that great to me, but that's only my opinion.

Oh! How exciting it is, after writing for years finally joining a forum, a fantasy forum no less. My anticipation is growing, time to look at the new threads.
