You've heard of chaff confusing guided missiles, or stealth jets being immune to radar, no doubt.
I'm wondering about ways to confuse AIs, and to interfere with them. EMPs are one idea, but I'm not sure they'll work out for what I'm thinking of.
Partially, I've been trying to dream up some...
Depends on how they're done. Samurai Jack could be seen as a Hero Loses story. Problem with that one was it didn't have an ending (stupid networks...).
If you like orc protagonists, then it works out perfectly. For human stories, it is highly dependant on how many humans are left--assuming they aren't converted into a new kind of orc.
For Dark Lords other than Sauron, there are plenty of historical examples to use.
Mm, I agree. Was figuring his natural strength might come from that sort of thing. Was just wondering if technological strength would be able to add to it.
I quite liked Sophie from the film. She gets turned into an old woman... and just toughs her way through it! The world keeps throwing crazy stuff at her, but she doesn't let it stop her. I don't consider her reactive; I think of her as but stalwart and unflinching.
You both make very good points. I think I'll go with Devor's idea, of cybernetic enhancement. An exoskeleton can't be expected to do what cybernetic enhancement in known for, I'd say.
Garlic was considered good for protecting you against monsters in the early days of the Egyptian kingdom. It continued to be associated as an anti monster/vampire herb till recently.
I really hate word play... During the genocide of Rawanda, you know what was going on? The US public were arguing whether it could be called genocide or not. It was genocide.
Similarly, let's try to be accurate with our word use. Do we really want to label the ill-taught and foolish as the same...

It's simple:

Well, think of it this way. They can't be killed by guns. There's also no reason they couldn't use swords or guns. That is a really big advantage in their favour.
In good vampire fiction, they don't really stake the vampire while they're awake, ready, and resisting. It's generally when...
Whoops, meant Twilight and the Ann Rice novels, with that comment. Seems I'm more effected by my illness than I realized.
Wasn't Lucy awake before they staked her? I was rather sure she was. Though, I am forgetful of the details. The vampire brides were slain in their sleep, I recall--but I...
I quite liked that aspect. He was able to mingle with human society and find prey, but was more vulnerable as he did so. Plus, it was only because he was the original vampire--other vampires in that setting couldn't survive in the sun.
I think Rosaries had the same effect in Vampire folklore...
