    Removing the Concept of Marriage

    Not sure why to be honest. Largely because it's not simply about dynasties for the rich and inheritance (which often applies equally to the poor), but also about pooling resources. Not for children alone but also food/shelter/warmth etc even if one is sick or unable to work. Might just be me...

    If by 'anchovies' you mean 'no anchovies at all' then certainly! Already doing some replying and spreading. It's like pretending to be a virus. Now to count down the hours to beer and weekend.

    how to create more original metaphors?

    By first seeing what frames of reference are applicable to your character/world and planning around that. For instance: "Hitting the nail on the head" might not make sense if your story revolves around talking fish in the deep sea. It will to the audience, but not for the fish.

    I do it by telling first, writing second. I tell myself the story while noting it down. Helps the story become more "relaxed" in my experience.
