    Hello from Australia

Sounds like you are building up a nice resume! Science journalist would be interesting, I have never met one of those! I work for a large regional Fairfax paper. I actually have never been a journo, I was hired as a sub, and editing is where my heart is. I did study journalism/ communications...

    Best and worst female leads

Little Storm Cloud: I highly recommend it, especially if you are a fan of Feist! I am always so amazed and slightly bewildered at how Feist manages to build such detailed worlds and stories. Let me know what you think after you read them! I haven't read any of Wurts' other stuff either, but will...

    Writing Software

I must have been living under a rock because I didn't even know there was awesome software like this available! No longer will I have to have my writing in dribs and drabs spread over multiple word documents and folders. Hooray! Scrivener looks perfect for me. *Adds to Christmas wish list*

    Best and worst female leads

I found Mara from Raymond E. Feist's 'Empire Trilogy' a wonderfully strong female lead. I read the books years ago so I can't remember them entirely, but I remember being completely amazed at her strength and intelligence.

    Inspiring Music.

Lots of good suggestions here! I find it amazing how inspired I can feel after listening to music, especially when it's something epic, spiritual and earthy. I find female-fronted gothic symphonic metal the most inspiring.

    Dealing with Dumbledore

Very interesting ideas here! I am hoping my 'mentor' character will graciously step aside when the time comes and let my hero have his day.
