Sketches and doodles

I tend to make a lot of doodles in my notebooks and on Post-It notes. It helps me visualise some of the characters and creations I'm writing about. Here are a few recent ones:

Some bowman or other

A svalchor, a race one of my fantasy worlds

A cartoonish interpretation of a Titaris, from the other fantasy world I've been writing about

I'll add some more when I find them

Asterisk

Troubadour
I really like the dark shading on the hooded archer.

I agree! The svalchor is also very detailed.
Once in a while, I try to sketch out the images I see in my mind, but I can't get much further than strangely shaped relatives of stick figures. This is inspiring, though. :)
Thanks for sharing!

More stuff from my notebooks:

This is Ordelarde, a piteous, whining, pathetic alderman...

More Titaris ideas...

Skulls...

And another one...

I had a scene that required a ridiculously impractical helmet. Here it is:

ink.

That truly is an impractical helmet, all its missing is a big spike on the top.
Nice drawings, keep it up.

This is Vetr. He's a pretty pivotal character in my book. A cowardly, self-serving, avaricious guard...

I notice you like to work with exaggerated facial proportions. What would this guy look like decked out in his guard's armor?

I do. In honesty, it's because it's easier than getting it realistic ;)

I'll have a go later on...
