You guys should check out Windy.com

I've used it for a couple of design projects and it just hit me that it's world-build-tastic. The app shows the direction, power, humidity and temperature of wind, fog, waves, currents, clouds (high and low) and more.

Want to know from which direction a storm would hit your mountainous town? Find a similar location in our world on Windy TV.

Click the menu top left to enter 3D mode or easily check travel distances.

This site, or something just like it, tends to be shared quite a bit when storms are about to hit. You can see the storm approaching, and it's all a bit exciting and scary.

That said, here in Ireland we don't get very serious storms like people over in the states, so it's easier to joke about it.
