Dragon Kings

In a book I’m writing, the Daemorys Royal Family has the power to become dragons. It’s signified by a series of raw gouges in the skin that mark the bones. These don’t form on the face. The bones and teeth are fused, so they don’t really lose teeth. They have an incredibly high temperature tolerance, and regularly enjoy boiling baths.

When they transform, they essentially rip apart and grow/unfold the huge amount of flesh and bone needed. The end product is draconic, but slightly biomechanical as well.

What do you think? Do you have any interesting ideas I could include, physiology-wise? Feel free to ask questions!
