I just have to get this out and replied to

I am genuinely a great deal torn about this news about J.K. Rowling being Transphobic and her initial response to that.

I mean on the one hand, while I might not be that big a fan of her books, I do still admire her original sounding ideas and, after watching a tv retelling of her life and beginnings, I felt able to connect with her on some level as an aspiring author myself.

But, on the other hand, while I admittedly might have mixed feelings about the transgender topic myself, I’m sure if I can support her anymore, if she really is doing the things that I’ve heard about in regards to how she feels about transgender people

Any thoughts on this?

Why do i care about anything Mrs Rowling thinks? She can think whatever and good luck to her.

Isnt this kind of trolling. I would rather not have the boards be about who is a fink today.

It doesn't come up very often, but we have a quiet policy against bad mouthing other people in the industry. A mention here or there about an author you don't like when it comes up in conversation is fine, but we're not having a thread letting everyone pile on about this. I'm locking it.
