I'm Malise, a hobbyist web novelist that does their own illustration and web design. My current project is an episodic fictional memoir with an urban fantasy setting that has a heavy focus on worldbuilding because I'm that nerd that reads encyclopedias for fun.

That's basically a long way of me saying that I have no clue what I'm doing. I would graciously accept help from y'all and also be there to help any of y'all who are stuck on the same boat as me.

Hello Malise and welcome to the Scribes! I hope the site will offer you inspiration and point you in the right direction as needed.

Funny, I was just talking the other day with a friend and we were kicking around a list of things we did as kids that aren't so much a thing today. the first one of mine was reading actual encyclopedias. Rainy days I'd pick a volume off the shelf, sink into the old beanbag chair and just start reading somewhere in the middle.
