This is by far the coolest thing that I have seen in long while. They really don't hold the punches (swings or thrusts either)!

If it was apt for your type of fantasy it might almost be worth a trip to see it for research... not just the contests [spectacular as they are] but I bet there are blacksmith, metal & leather workers fixing and repairing...

I saw many SCA kills and they continued the fight.
You better have well padded armor, because blunt force trauma will happen.

Foam weapons on armor cause injuries, they were doing full shield bashes, Shield edge bashes, full two handed strikes, full strikes against an opponent facing someone else.
I would say get the waivers written in all languages, have an ambulance standing by, someones going to be severely hurt.
