I'm very fond of Terry Pratchett's depiction of Death. He tries so hard to understand humans and just... doesn't quite get it. It's adorable.

Not many stories go into what it's actually like being an anthropomorphic personification, or the implications of being an abstract concept or apotheosis-fied being forever. There's story potential right there...
