I'm not sure this is the place for this, but Authors First is running a novel contest with the first prize being $5000 and your novel published by Story Plant. Details here. In brief:

The First Annual Authors First Novel Competition

Win $5,000 and a contract with The Story Plant

We’re thrilled to announce our first annual novel competition. We’re open to any work of fiction 40,000 words or longer — as long as you’re passionate about it and that passion finds its way to the page. We’ll be choosing a winner and five runners-up. The winner will receive:

• A contract to publish the novel with The Story Plant
• $5,000
• An iPad Mini
• A year’s worth of Story Plant books
• The five runners-up will receive an iPad Mini loaded with a year’s worth of Story Plant books.

Lou Aronica, who's one of the founders, was my boss, is a great guy and remains a fantastic publisher. You'd do well in his hands, which are the same hands that created the Star Wars book universe.
