Bookvetter: an alternative to beta readers?

PaulineMRoss

Inkling
I recently came across an interesting new site where authors can review pre-publication books for quality, and in return get their own books reviewed. Books reaching a certain quality (in the eyes of the reviewers) are deemed to be 'vetted' and are made available to book bloggers, as risk-free, quality reads. It seems to me that it's an idea with some potential, although it requires quite a lot of effort to participate: you have to review *at least* six books to get through the system, and very likely more. There's plenty of choice of genre, but not much choice of books for review - only 3. I'm going to try it out and see how it works out. I'll report back later.

My blog post about it: Bookvetter: an interesting website for self-publishers? | Pauline's Epic Fantasy World
