Hi everyone,

I wish this site had been around when I was a lot younger. It looks like a great resource for both new and experienced writers, and I'm looking forward to putting forth some of my more gnarly writing problems to folks who are actually interested in helping solve them.

Anyway, about me: I'm a writer who has written fantasy in some form or another since I was a kid. As far as publication goes, I am what is termed a late bloomer: My debut novel, MOTH AND SPARK, will be published by Viking in February (Headline in the UK), almost 20 years after I got my MFA. I'm very excited about this, needless to say, and thrilled that spending time in communities like this is now part of my job instead of a guilty pleasure.
