I am a lifelong fan of fantasy, starting when I read the Hobbit in grade school. My love only grew when I got into Dungeons and Dragons and started reading the Shannara books and Dragonlace in middle school.
Didn't read much fantasy for a while, but was heavily into mmorpgs (Everquest and WOW). I joined a guild named Valar Morghulis, and googled the words to find out what that was all about - it led me to Martin's books and I was hooked.
Since the I've been reading a lot more fantasy, and finally decided to start trying to write something as I've always jokingly said I would. Finished a very basic first draft recently and now working on whipping it into shape.
