The Marketplace is a section where approved sellers can offer their services to writers. All new threads are moderated. To ensure the best experience for our members, those who wish to advertise have to apply for a "seller" account with Mythic Scribes. This involves a screening process. Once approved, a seller will be able to create a new thread in the Marketplace for a set advertising fee. Getting Started To get started as a seller, do the following: Fill out the Seller Application (see below), and send it to Black Dragon via private message. Once your application is approved, you will be able to post a new thread in the Marketplace. Be sure to follow the Marketplace Thread Requirements below. Please note that your thread will automatically go into moderation, and will be invisible until it has been approved. You will receive a private message from Black Dragon with payment details. After your payment has been received, your thread will become visible to the public. Eligible Services The following types of services may advertise in the Marketplace: Editing Proofreading Cover Art Cover Design Graphic Design Illustration Ghost Writing Ebook formatting Other types of services may be eligible on a case by case basis. Send inquiries to Black Dragon via private message. Seller Application Please copy the following questions, and send them with your responses to Black Dragon via private message. Your details will not be shared with the public. 1) What is the proposed name for your service? It should be descriptive, and not contain hype. 2) What service(s) will you be offering? 3) What is the URL of your own site? 4) Please share links to samples of your work (if applicable). 5) What are your qualifications and/or experience? 5) What is your real name? 6) What is your primary email address? Please allow three to five workdays for your application to be reviewed. Marketplace Thread Requirements New threads in the Marketplace are placed in a queue to be approved by a moderator. Only members with a seller account have permission to create new threads. Each new thread must include the following: A title which accurately describes the service being offered (no hype) An explanation of the service, along with the seller's qualifications The URL of the seller's own site A URL for samples of work, if applicable Your prices or price ranges for services Instructions for placing an order A list of accepted forms of payment After submitting your thread, please send a private message to Black Dragon. You will then be sent a private message with a payment link to Paypal. Advertising Fee To advertise in the Marketplace, there is a one time fee of $10 per thread. Additional Instructions Sellers are welcome to give away a limited number of "review orders," with the understanding that the recipients will later review the service in the thread. Do not bump threads. An automated bumping system for sellers will be implemented in the future. Seller accounts are subject to the same rules as everyone else. If a seller violates the rules, they may be banned at the discretion of the moderators. If a seller is suspected of posting or encouraging fake reviews, he may be banned. Sellers are permitted to include a link to their Marketplace thread in their forum signatures. Please do not link to your own sales site in your signature. Do not advertise or hype your service in other parts of the forum. Do not solicit members via private message. Sellers who do so will be banned.
