Magical RPG

I'd like to see your ideas in this. Explain your character briefly first, then talk about your interaction. You can be any mythical type of creature, just make sure it can talk and does have some limits. I'd like to see how your ideas can influence and make up a whole story.

To start you guys out, there is a country that is kind of like our middle ages, but with actual magic. There's elves, dwarves, magicians, whatever you can think off. (If you've read the magician books from Raymond E. Feist, you'll know where my inspiration has come from.) Try to get further in the story, it will start off normally and if necessary I'll put in some dangers for you to solve. You can go all out. I can't wait to see how people from all over, can come together to make a story!
So again, first put in your made-up name, then the type of creature you are (it can be handy to be able to talk and if the creature isn't well known, do explain), then tell your powers and how you look, maybe even something about your personality. Then tell what you're doing and start conversations with people. I'll try to put in some extra things if it's not going well, but I hope to see a great story come out of this. Good luck!

Alright to start the first ones off, you're starting in your village. No mather what breed you are, the first person will start in their village. Your parents have had one specific simple job their whole life that provides that product to the whole village. However you don't want that, you want to know what's beyond the village, what is out there? (you can decide what your parents do and what type of character you are, but just to get to others, this should help)

What you appear to suggest here strikes me as being more or less an activity that I have quite a bit of experience with, which we called a Play it by Post RPG (PbP RPG). I have both fond and not-so-fond memories of my time participating in that activity, so I am intrigued by what you are suggesting here. That said, I am not certain that this activity conforms with the intended purpose of Mythic Scribes. The skills for writing and publishing novels and short stories diverge significantly from those used to having a good time in a PbP RPG; in general, PbP RPG has much more of a focus on socializing and communication than on decent writing in my experience. My groups ended up using Google Docs and Discord Channels to write “joint posts” and to chat with each other. I’m not sure posting links to G-docs and Discord Channels is something the Mythic Scribes mods really want us to be doing here. However, if the site mods are not against this activity, I’d be interested in trying this out. I typically had more information to work with for designing a character that fits in the world than what you have provided so far. I have never read any of Raymond Feist’s works, so I no doubt I currently have a very different understanding of the setting you seem to be presenting than you do; this could be a source of conflict if this project does take off. I personally would not be opposed to you including more setting details along with potential plot hooks which I could design a character around.
