Name another soundtrack that is better than…

It strikes me, that as we grow up in this world, there are just a number of things that become the backdrop for our lives. In the case of music, the soundtrack. But that music influences us. And I can say with some certainly, that there have been times that a song I was playing, or knew well at the time, affected and changed what made it to the page. But would it have been different if I was listening to a different soundtrack at the time?

Which makes me wonder? How much of what we choose is just because of what was around us at the time, and how much is really from our own brain? If the last soundtrack that influence me did not exist, how much would have been different?

Maybe a little, maybe a lot, maybe nothing.

What if John Williams never got out of his garage?

The Last Samurai has an amazing soundtrack. Also, Violet Evergarden, which is an anime series. It has one of the most astonishing soundtracks I've ever heard, and I listen to it all the time.
I've never heard Violet Evergarden, but I agree that the Last Samurai is very cool.

Then that would be the most musical garage band EVER!!!

2 other amazing ones are Chariots of Fire and Conquest of Paradise, both by Vangelis. That man did epic on another level. They're so good that many people know the soundtracks but have neve seen the movies.

The Piano? loved that music. Listened to it on headphones recently stood on KeriKeri beach watching the surf. Amazing!

We are, each of us, the sum of all our experiences up to this moment in life (with some genetics thrown in). So I think you would be a different dragon without that music. Maybe not vastly different, but not quite the same. So revel, not only in great music, but in your own, moment by moment, re-invention of yourself.

The thing about movie soundtracks, is there is usually a spot in the movie where the music is discordant with the rest. The Piano soundtrack is like that. I could put it on repeat and use if as background music, but there is one track that blares out and breaks the mood for me. Minus that one, I'd call it very good for playing in the background.
