Can't say I've heard of most of these writers but it's interesting that they have this type of award. I'm of the mind that most sex scenes are written poorly. They either make you want to laugh or want to cringe.
If you can't write a good sex scene, a scene that's actually good literature, then either have somebody else write it for you or just allude to things and leave it at that.
