Never too late to create. Hello all!

Hello All!

This has always been a passion of mine yet always made it on the back burner. I'm 38 years old. I work late nights at a bar/restaurant. I was behind in updated technology. I recently got a new pc (my last one was a DELL with a ZIP DRIVE, wild haha). Last few years I got sober and honestly didn't know how to try things new in fear of failure. Over time I genuinely enjoyed solace because I was my only critique. Fast forward and I finally gathered all my notebooks and visuals and just started typing. I don't know what I'm doing but that's the exciting part. For years I was so invested in every detail and history and unintentionally mixing today's ethics instead of creating them. In the last 2 hours, I just started typing a page and a half. The format is probably wrong and there's probably a lot of "noob mistakes." But I absolutely felt enthralled in the process. I stumbled onto this site. Even more I am excited for what can inspire me and what I can learn. I'm not sure if it's allowed but I'd love to have someone read what I just wrote. To grant imagination and emotion to a reader is magic in this day and age.

Welcome!

The rule is to make it a habit to write a little every day, even if you don't feel like it, even if it seems horrible.

Welcome aboard. As mentioned, the rule of Dory applies: Just keep typing. Just keep typing.

It's the simplest and most difficult writing rule I know to exist.
