Online Writing Group Available

Me and a a few others recently set up a writing group/forum type thing. It tends towards fantasy writing, and is centred around putting up ongoing chapters of works in progress for feedback from others. Oh, and it's called "Too Many Stories".

Anyone with an email can join, but to see the writing which people put up, you have to be made an approved member. That's to stop the writing being seen publicly, of course.

There's also a Facebook Group 'attached' to it, to make it easier to keep in touch with members.

If anyone would like to join, I would suggest joining the Facebook Group - Log into Facebook
and popping along to along to the forum/group itself - Log In - Too Many Stories
where you can join up, then say something on the "welcome" thread, for me or one of the other moderators to make you an "approved" member.

It's not a forum like this one - it's a bit gerry-rigged and makeshift! But we are trying to make things useful and obvious for people to find and put up and review writing.

Anyhow, there you are. Just so you know!

Thank you for sharing this. May I ask how it differs from the critique requests here or something like scribophile? I am asking from potential interest to join, not in any attempt to dissuade or dismiss your efforts.

Well, it differs as much and as little as any other writing group put up here! The forum/group is imply the means for a group of people smaller than that of Scribophile to comment on each other's writings, concentrating on a chapter by chapter form. The critique requests here doesn't seem to be a particularly frequented part of the forum, whereas commenting directly on each other's work is the point of the group. And it differs from Scribophile mostly like every other writing group - simply by being smaller!

I've never used Scribophile, but reading about it, it seems that there are some issues if you don't have paid membership?
That you can only put up two pieces at a time? And the number of critiques you can get is limited?
That the "points system" encourages "drive by" reviews of little use?
