It could be considered a fantasy, based on the backstory.
After playing since the beta (last year), I am proud to say that my one character finally reached Battle Rank 4 after getting two more kills.
That was sarcasm.
Seriously, though, am I the only one who can't kill anything in that game? It seems that no matter what I do I either get outshot, sniped, or surrounded by tanks and blown up. The only reason I'm Battle Rank 4 at all is because I switched to Light Infantry a while back and managed to get a kill streak.
The problem is I don't like Light Infantry. I like sniping. It's what I do in every FPS I play, but in PlanetSide 2, I can't hit the broadside of a barn. I miss completely stationary players because of jittery crosshairs, and I'm lucky to go through two clips (while getting maybe that many body shots) before someone comes up behind me and kills me.
I'm considering quitting...
