Poetic affairs
Some poems seem to be discreet.
Others may seem to cheat.
Others more complete in love.
While others are of disdain.
Some poems may have nothing to gain.
By being written.
Some poems written in vein.
And I feel that this poem is of many a affair.
The reader might, in jumbled thoughts, only stare.
While thinking "Why should I care?"
This poem is simply to share.

I posted this in writing discussion on accident, either way im interested in what you all think of the poem.

There’s something quietly honest in this, like the poem is aware of its own presence without needing to prove anything. I like how it reflects on the many kinds of poems, and maybe the moods we bring to them as readers.

That last line felt especially gentle to me.
“This poem is simply to share.” Sometimes that’s the purest reason to write, right?

I like it. Like Sygan said, it's got a nice humble feel to it, like it just wants to say hello.
