Pre-NaNoWriMo Worldbuilding progress (related to previous post)

Viorp

Minstrel
The Worldbuilding I made was not originally planned to be for NaNoWriMo. Only today I decided to participate.

*Achtung! If you are interesting in reading my story later don't read this. Because spoilers!*

1. Physics

The world uses a specyffic model of physics. "Atoms" are made out of maseless subtances the "Quithon" and electrons which give them mass. Thus gases in that world are considered massless; they lack electrons.

Quinthon types:
Phlogiston - substance which burnable elements have during burning it "disolves" in air.

Life Semi-Quithon (work in progress name) - substance which is not part of the Atom, but rather surrounds it and bounds between atoms. It is the essence of life. The soul so to say.

Caloric - it's % of volume determines the inner warmth of an element. The amoung of energy neededto het it up by 1temperature degree.

Sticky Quithon (work in progress name) - without it the Quithons in an atom mich like fluids and are not very firm. Thus to a certain extent the more of it there is the more compact the "atom" becomes. It also acts like an isolating film between the Quithons. Thus a dipol is created as the "Positron" is on one Pole of the atom meanwhile the electrons travel freely within it.

Positron - a maseless positively loaded Quinthon. It is maseless, but it's raw amount decides the amount of electrons permanently held. Thus the % of it being present to some degree determines the density.

Luminescent Semi-Quinthon (work in progress name) - it causes the glow and light it also wraps around barticles and bonds not being part of the atom.

Quinthons have multiple properties. For example:
Positrons have a natural metalic glow. Thus metals are usually very dense and mostly postron made.
Sticky Quinthon makes things sticky and makes them loose their glow.
Luminescent Semi-Quintwon makes things burn faster and emitt light while they burn creating fire. It's presence makes the difference between "burning" and "rusting"

These elemental particles also share relations: Phlogiston is directly related to life while Caloric and Luminescent also share a reselblence and cn be transmuted into each other. (which is very hard)

I my add more elemental particles, but those are the basic ones for now.

2. Mythology

The world is a flat plate of clay and water located within the "spirit world" which is an immaterial plane full of spirits. At the beginning there were the spirits and there was "God" god was a very powerful creature. He was the clay and water itself. It was a centient creature and one day he sprouted plants. The plants are has a centient mind. They saw themselves for some reason closer resembling the spirits though and thus "God" kept being lonely.

After sometime the spirits became friends with the plants and wanted to visit the world of God. Experience touch and smell and so on. Negotiations started during those rules were set up:
1. The spirits will take a mortal form.
2. Spirits can only come when invited.
3. The spirits will not remember anything while in Gods Dominion.
4. After death they return to the spirit realm only with their spirit and the memories of this life.

And so it wen't for centuries untill one day the grand spirit wanted to descend into Eden (Gods World), he was the only "friend" of God. God was unwilling as the Grand Spirit would spend his entire existance alone with no spirit of his shape or form existing. God knew loneliness the best.

The spirit despite that descended invited by the plants of the forrest. (the grand tree is a like a all-plant hubmind). And he was lonelly. Out of his rib God created Eve. The first life he created since the plants. Humans lived happily untill the Great Spirit became old. God was sad that the Great Spirit would leave him. He gave the Tree Hubmind access to his very essence to give the humans the gift of immortality.

Instead of that the plants took his immortality into 1 tree and hit it while taking his sanity and personality as well as any resemblance of a self and put it into another tree. God then forbid the humans from eating from that tree. Without giving them the reason. He wanted them to have the fruit of immortality instead. The jelous Tree instead convinced the humans to eat from the tree which contained Gods existance.
Having seen that he had lost he cursed the plants so that they could not communicate. They could barelly feel and would be cursed to for eternity be food for animals and humans.

In the end God became just a system. Still immensely powerful, but without a will on his own. Now the only ones capable of acessing his power were humans with ussage of Runes. Runes are the language of God while without a will he still has understanding. You give a request and he responds automatically like a system. That's how runes work.

3. Culture

There are 2 major culturegroups. Eastern and Western. Western is like a medieval society. They have many faiths. One is the faith of the Druids, they are ones who praise plants and nature. They are somewhat like jews. Out of their faith evolved the "1 faith" the Great Spirits keeps being reincarnated every few generations (actually every generation) to lead humans. He has great talents and usually is lead by the Plant Hubmind. He is considered to be the incarnation of the 1 true God descending to lead humanity. The faith resembles christianity.

After the appearance of the "Curse Ones" also a faith of the eternal flame sprung up which praises the eternel flames which burn whenyou lit a certain type of tree on fire.

The eastern cultures are based on Tibet, Nepal and Japan.
The tibetan-Nepalese guys are simmilar to Buddists and Taoists they have no "God", but believe in ascetism and the eternal practicing of runes. The Japanese believe in a shintoism like faith where they believe themselves to be keepers of balance between Humans, Plants and Spirits.

I think that's already more detail than anyone is willing to read so I'll stop for now.
