Okay, I have a limited goodreads giveaway thing happening at the moment, but as this is the forum I most attend, I would feel odd not offering it here also.
The book is called The Fighting Man - an historical novel set in the C11 so replete with the ambience and flavour of magic. It's about as close to fantasy as a legitimately historical novel can get. What do I mean by that?
There is no real magic in the book, but quite often it feels as though there is because that is my way of exploring the medieval mind, which believed in a multipolar scriptural / magic cosmology.
