Does someone knows a good software to create a timeline? My story is starting to become pretty complex and I need a simple tool to avoid getting lost. I know I could create a timeline with word or excel, but if anyone knows a good - and free- software, that would be awesome.

    Thanks!

I personally used a GANTT chart as this is something I've used quite a lot with work. It works for me but I understand that it's not for everyone.

I use Aeon Timeline. It isn't free...but it is wonderful.

    Hi,

I just create a timeline in a Word data file about the book. For most books it's a simple list - day one, day two and the actions taken etc etc. For really complex books I use two or three lists side by side where each list is the arc of another MC's journey.

If you need software to do this I understand Scrivener is popular.

    Cheers, Greg.

Aeon Timeline gives you a free trial for doing nano, and Scrivener offers a big discount for nano writers too.
