Use of real world magic elements in fantasy magic

SithLord

Dreamer
In my high fantasy, work in progress, I have made drafts of my three part story using simple sounding words as "place holders" for some of my spells or rituals until I could study and research a better, more precise form of linguistics that could be read easier or used to be more impactful. I had always studied the esoteric and occult, but never attempted to read or learn or even obtain books related to Enochian magick. Could anyone see an issue with the use of Enochian words or maybe a slight modification to said words? Although this writing is public domain, so no copyright is infringed (over 500 years old in some manuscripts), I'm not willing to risk any probable implications some esoteric guilds could impose through legal means.

No issues at all. As you note, this goes all the way back to John Dee, so copyright is not at issue. What legal matters are you worried about?

OK, the question now shifts to: what misrepresentation do you worry about? What is being misrepresented and how?
