Another Reason to Attend Conferences

Just returned home from the Las Vegas Writer's Conference and Donald Maass' full-day instruction (which was amazing!).

I had the pleasure of meeting two fellow Scribes, in person.

We had a great time over drinks, dinner, and in the classroom. In this modern age of keyboards and avatars, meeting in person still rules the day.

I didn't attend the full conference. I chose only to take Donald Maass' lecture on Writing the Breakout Novel instead, which was a full day of instruction at about the same cost as the 3-day conference prior.

I have attended other conferences though & from that experience, I learned a lot from the agent panels.

That's awesome. I've always wanted to go to a writer's conference, but there aren't any over here.
