ASD & RPGs

Greets all. I'm an Autism Parent and a long time old school Game Master, writer and coder. Reading and writing is a great way to open up the minds of children and adults allowing them to better express themselves as a knight, warrior, etc. I wrote this awhile ago about how role-playing opens a whole new world in being able to write and socialize. The content is still very relevant. Maybe you know someone on the spectrum or their parent(s) who can benefit: Autism and Roleplaying.

That's quite an interesting read, thank you for that.
I have been a teacher for 7 years mostly children 0-5 years old, I am often working with children who have autism or other behavioral issues. At that age they may not be capable of comprehending complicated "RPG's" but roleplaying is a common game for the children from just playing house, or other occupational "role" based games.
It's great to see how something that can become a life long shared joy and passion can also help life long learning
