I have noticed that some members have signatures that link to their books on Amazon. Is this allowed and if it is why am I unable to do so?

    Amazon Marketing

Since I posted this, I have done two separate ad campaigns on Amazon. The first was a generic ad that used their automated keywords, like Skip I got basically nothing. The second campaign I used my own keywords that I thought would match my book. This campaign has done far better in regards to...

    FB ads Note

Thanks for your response. At this point making money is secondary to finding readers and credible reader reviews. I can't sell book 2 if nobody has read book 1.

    Amazon Marketing

Does anyone have experience with the Amazon marketing services? I have very recently gone live with my first book so I don't have any word of mouth or return readers. If I were to use Amazon's marketing services which services have you guys and gals had the most luck with?

    Words per Price?

I would feel cheated at 2.99 for 25k. Like it was said by others that would take me less time to read than watch a movie. However if the story and writing was outstanding, I would forgive you.

    Worst Fantasy World Cliches

I'm not sure if they are cliches but what bothers me is the over doing of the foreign aspects of a world. I speak English not elvish or orcish etc. I don't need half a paragraph of gibberish to get the idea they speak a different language. I also find made up obscenities tiresome. On the flip...

How much does voice matter to you?

I am a new writer and I have found my voice changes slightly with different character points of veiw. I try to become the character who's point of veiw I'm writing so the narrative, not just dialogue, changes slightly. Is a change in voice within the same book a bad thing?

    Creating Fantasy people names?

I have found naming, people and places, the most difficult thing to do while writing. Partly because unpronounceable names are a pet peave of mine. Having an inadvertent pause in your reading, everytime a poorly conceived name comes by, is irritating .

    Creating strong Female characters?

It is my humble opinion that a strong character, whether male or female, is a character that is a major force within the story, not just a sideline or support character. They don't have to necessarily have to play a positive role. In the series I am writing the strongest character (though not...
