    Good Fantasy Books for Children?

I've always felt like The Hobbit read more like a children's book than anything else, which is exactly why I love it so much.

How do you feel about the Hobbit being in 3D?

Microsoft teases transparent 3D desktop interface - Neowin.net Inching closer every day. I'm already excited to have one of these at my house!

How do you feel about the Hobbit being in 3D?

Anyone calling 3D a fad or gimmick is just not thinking logically. Technology advances don't happen overnight. Right now 3D requires uncomfortable glasses and makes some people sick, but every dollar paid for a 3D movie is going to encourage future improvements in the quality. Eventually we will...

How to make a character instantly likable?

Humor should work if appropriate in your story. If he can make the protagonist (and reader) laugh then you are set.

    Recommend Me Some Movies! :D

Most of my favorites have been mentioned, but to really drive it home Master and Commander, The Fifth Element, Robocop, Willow, and The Dark Crystal. Three that I don't think were mentioned: Lethal Weapon - Best cop buddy movie ever. Hot Fuzz - A hilarious parody of the cop buddy genre Surf...

    The Ripple Effect of Magic

Well the Internet as we know it was originally created with the purpose of allowing researchers in different locations to have access the limited number of powerful computers available at the time. Naming a Character - An Alternative Technique

Ah yes, I remember my first time discovering the find/replace features of Word. Such a magical time! As for naming characters, I like to research the country of origin and meanings of a name to try and fit both to the character.

How did you discover Mythic Scribes?

I was having a bit of writer's block and did a thorough search of the web for a helpful and active community. I lurked on the forums here for a few days and was very impressed with the quality of posts and level of activity. This site just felt more professional than 95% of the forums I checked...

    How Long is Your Outline?

I use a Word document of about 3 pages to keep track of major plot points. I usually summarize entire chapters into about 10 word descriptions. The outline is usually no more than a few chapters ahead of where I'm at in the story. An Excel spreadsheet helps me manage characters and places. I've...

    Resources for Mythical Creatures

I agree with BeigePalladin. I often use the Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manuals for creature ideas. Pretty much any pen and paper RPG will have at least one book specifically devoted to creatures.

    What themes may come?

One main theme of my current project is the importance of having a strong belief in something. The other is that, as I'm sure you all know, true love conquers all.
