I love tabletop games for the same reason, and I'm quite addicted to a whole bunch of them. I have a dark elf Warhammer army, an undead Mordheim gang, and a bunch of random models I use for D&D. D&D is probably my favourite, because I too tend to come up with backgrounds for characters and...
Sorry to res an old thread, but Starconstant linked this on Facebook, and with so many of you listing Dropbox here I thought I'd better let you know that they've changed their Terms to say:
"you grant us (and those we work with to provide the Services) worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free...
Good luck ^_^ I know exactly what you mean, I find it really hard to hit the 1667 words each day, cause I tend to write slowly, and refuse to write unless I think it'll be of some quality or at least has a chance of staying in the book. When I did the 1000 a Day May with Kate I actually found...
Ello everyone,
I thought you guys might be interested in this booklet I made for a presentation I gave recently at Continuum 7 in Melbourne. It's about the science of time travel, how to apply it in fiction, and common mistakes to avoid. I've also added some tables on mundane travel times...
Nice quotes everyone ^_^
Off the top of my head I found it hard to come up with things that make any sense out of context, but could be just cause my mind is a bit blank right now. However after asking a few people they all suggested the same thing (and it was also what popped into my mind)...
Tis a tricky question to answer. I'll start out with something just a few pages long, and as I go I'll expand it, so the outline for the novel I'm writing now ended up at over 20 pages - roughly a paragraph describing each scene. I actually write the story in the same file, and delete each...
I absolutely adore the movie, the game and the graphic novels. They did change things in the movie, but I thought they did it in a way that wa still consistent with the story and the characters (mostly) so I didn't mind much. They kept so much in. Todd is probably my favourite of the evil exes.
I use a external hard drive, my laptop, two different drives on my computer and email it to myself (to my main email, and a secondary one every now and then too). I do it every time I write something new really (though not to all of them each time, I'm paranoid but not very organised). Email...
It's all for our writing, so Kate I think you're doing the right thing ^_^
How is everyone else going? I'm woefully behind, but nonetheless have reached my daily quota for a few days in a row now, so that's something.
Love the Dragonlance casting! Didn't get Val Kilmer at first, but when you mentioned Tombstone, suddenly he was perfect.
And I've done this, but not really to help get the feel of the characters, more just for fun, to see if I could find people who looked the way I pictured. Had some fun...
I'm going okay, a few days behind, but as Starconstant said, we've got several days dedicated to writing on our holiday, so we should catch up then ^_^
YAY here we go!
And no one is sure if the devil's number is 666, 999. 616 or 919. so I think we're safe there. Yay for the vagueness of religious texts. Though have just noticed your exclamation marks may have meant you were happy about it? In which case, 666 ftw!
That's three yays in...
