There's a game called Age of Wonders 3 which includes a map editor. I use that to make the terrain and put the cities and roads down. After that I screenshot it and add text in an image editor.
It's probably somewhere beteen one and three percent depending on the war, however, the country used to be a theocracy, and they still have an "every war is a holy war" mindset. It makes it hard to stop peasents from joining.

In my novel, the culture of one country is caste based. When going to war, it's mostly the warrior caste and the labour caste (Lumberers, miners and farmers). Now, would it be more effective for the warrior caste to kept in large blocks, or to spread them into the peasents units to provide...
I don't haven any languages worked out on the grounds of most of the counties having their own, and that'd be a little too much work. The names of the first are fabricated entirely, while the continent names come from persian.
Inspired by Tangleshine's own, I'm just going to call it a series, of posts, I've decided to make my little set of posts explaining my world, and allowing people to comment on, evaluate and, if they feel the need, insult it. I'll be splitting it into a few sections, either done on this thread...
