I'm fine with a new scene in the next chapter following cliffhanger. If they put the reveal following the cliffhanger in the chapter afterwards then, to me, there would be no point in having the cliffhanger to begin with. But I do agree, in my experience, that most chapters after the cliffhanger...

I set my goal at 30,000. I'm going to try to make, but I'm usually busy with my actual job. I'm definitely going to be writing this month and so far have hit 6,000 words. If I don't make then I don't make. Either way I get some writing done and actually make progress on my novel.

Alright thanks. I already have general descriptions for my characters and settings. It was just seeing how some authors go pages without a character speaking that made me feel a little uncomfortable. My descriptions are about a paragraph or two anyway, so I guess I should be all set.
