Well, I have put down the digital pen on NaNo for this year. I did wish to finish at 50k, but knew it would be hard to achieve. I was too unprepared, and too pregnant :p But my realistic goal was to beat last years word count, which was 25048 words. I finished now at 25104, so I'm counting that...

I had a pretty good progress until last weekend when I got mild food poisoning... But it took several days to get back to normal energy levels, who are lower than usual anyways now. So I totally lost the momentum I had for writing. Now I'm struggling with getting moving again... getting moving...

So far I'm making good progress. Ended on 7,585 words today, today's goal is 6,668 :)

I'm still trying to figure out what I want to write, which project... Maybe I will cheat and work on the two ongoing projects I have. One is the novel I started last year for NaNo, currently just short of 30,000 words. The other is a novella, about half-finished. The novella is fairly outlined...

I've sort of been set on participating this year too. Last year was my first, and I finished at 25k words about mid-november, by then I was kind of burnt out and didn't know where my story was heading... Unfortunately, now there is a lot of other things going on in my life, so I might not have...

I'm currently at 17942 words in total, hope to reach 20000 today. But I'm finding it hard to write on week days and also my motivation is quite low, so I feel like I'm more behind because I doubt I will be able to keep the necessary pace next week. But on the upside, I don't feel stressed about...

Day five (yesterday here) wasn't the best. I managed to get 684 words down after putting my daughter to bed, so not that bad. But worse was I woke up with this self-doubt and no motivation at all. So instead of getting up to write an hour before work, I stayed in bed. I started thinking like...

Day 5 ended up at 684 words. Not very happy about that, had hoped I would be able to keep the pace up for a little longer. Good thing the working week has ended, hopefully I can free up more time the next couple of days!

3rd day: 1398 4th day: 1390 I'm happy with that. I'm still a little bit ahead with 9516 words in total. If I write more on the weekends than on working days (which is reasonable), I have a fair chance of finishing.

Oh I miss-typed, guess I was tired or something :D 5052 words on day 1 were written over here! Day 2 I got 1676 words, and it was a bit of a struggle completing the daily goal. Got about 1300 done before work, and then I had to sit down to finish at the end of the day even though I was soooo...

I have completed my first nano-day ever! It was so much fun! I participated in wordsprints on discord and got a lot of words down during those. I'm a bit nervous that thing's won't flow as well when I close in on the middle/last third of the book, which I haven't outlined because I just don't...

Phew, first day is over! I started strong with 5,552 words (y) Good to have some buffer for the upcoming office-hour-work-week.

Sounds good :) I agree that webcam is not necessary, and neither is speaking. The chat works well in my experience from work.
