I have also slowed down a lot in recent years.
I blame my choice in author - once I read Tolkien and Algernon Blackwood...it was hard to go back to conventional fiction. Genius can sometimes smother a good quick read.
I would say a bit of both for me.
I plot out all of my novels, albeit in a fashion that allows me a bit of flexibility (I am not an obsessive, rigid plotter, as some of the best story threads can sometimes spring out of nowhere!). However, with my published novella, Spider from the Well, I...
I am currently reading the final part of Mark Chadbourn's Age of Misrule series, which I have enjoyed a lot. Alongside that I am dipping in and out of Stephen King's recent(ish) short story collection, The Bazaar of Bad Dreams - which is a bit hit and miss, but has some excellent stories in.
If you like that style of PC RPG, I would say Pillars of Eternity is a must. Long, in-depth, with a cool stronghold building aspect and a great script (just as well...as there is plenty of reading!). The same company recently released its follow up, called Tyranny, which is supposed to be good...
Hello,

Anything Studio Ghibli
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Hello all,
I am looking for something along the lines of an online fantasy writers group - smallish if preferable, for more intimacy of discussion - and Google and its cohorts is a bit obtuse/unhelpful when searching. Just wondering if anyone on here has any leads?
What I am looking for is...
