I've been thinking about the romantic interactions of my protagonist in the story, and of course I thought that the human-elf love story will fit perfectly.
But then it occurred to me that the human-elf love story shows up in a lot of fantasy books (LotR etc...)
so is it a little not-original...
As a writer, the thing I think I succeed in the most is writing battles, attacks, counter-attacks and such.
So if I make some really detailed battles (one on one fights), will it be harmful to my story or will it add to it?
Well, I'll be writing in my room. It's about the most quiet place I can write in, and with my music on and my concentration problem (not necessarily a bad one, It's just that I almost don't get distracted when I'm really concentrated) I'm sure I'll be able to write just fine. :)

I like the idea, and I agree with Queshire. Make sure humans don't over realy on them :) I think "Orbis" would fit it (Orbis is "Orb" in Latin). Therefore it will give it a unique name and it won't be just another "orb".
