Not seeing or feeling the magic

Most time when I'm not feeling the magic, it's because it feels mechanical and is only included to enhance the plot. Especially when magic is only used for attack spells and they look like in a video game.
Instead magic users would use all kind of spells in their daily lives.
That goes for any fantastical element. Find a way for characters to ineract with those things in their world.

One of my favourite bits of magic is a fire charm that makes its way in to nearly everything I writer.
It isn't a fireball or lightning strike that could tear down Castle walls or kill by the dozen.
It is just enough magic to set fire to properly prepared tinder or light a candle.
Very useful while out camping and every thing gets damp!
